Prince Charles might be the thriftiest royal in the family.
While Meghan Markle managed to spend half a million dollars on her maternity wardrobe, the next in line for the throne has been sporting the same pair of swim trunks for at least the last 12 years.
The Prince of Wales, 70, hit the beach with his wife, Camilla Parker Bowles, 71, in Barbados on Monday in the midst of their 12-day tour of the Caribbean, as seen in photos obtained by TMZ.
For the occasion, the royal donned a pair of faded floral-print Vilebrequin swim shorts (a similar style retails for $260) — the same pair he’s owned for well over a decade, according to The Guardian.
A spokesperson for the brand added that it’s likely the shorts came into his possession “probably 16 years ago, because this particular style went on sale in 2003 and designs tend not to stick around beyond a season.”
Good to know Kate Middleton isn’t the only royal who loves a good repeat ensemble.
